Rustaveli Avenue (abbreviated "Rustaveli", Former Golovin Prospect) - The main proposition in the center of Tbilisi, named after the medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli. The Avenue starts from the Freedom Square (formerly "Lenin Square"). 1,5 km, and join Kostava street with Metro Rustaveli. Rustaveli is often referred to as the city center because of the abundance of state, public, cultural and business establishments. The Parliament of Georgia, Supreme Court, Kashueti Church, Georgian National Museum, Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater, Rustaveli Academic Theater and Georgian Academy of Sciences, along with others, are located on Rustaveli Avenue. At both end of the avenue there are subway stations ("Freedom Square" and "Rustaveli").
